The Beautiful Losers are Offending the Vast Majority of Australians – THIS WKND @ The Butterfly Club

Last year, after an appearance at an arts festival in regional Victoria, The Beautiful Losers suddenly found themselves on the front pages of The Age and The Australian newspapers, as the subjects of a delightful political scandal.

The then Leader of the Federal Opposition, Dr Brendan Nelson MP, accused Prime Minister Rudd of indirectly supporting a trio of entertainers who would 'offend the vast majority of Australians.'

After ‘offending’ their way to dual Green Room Awards and a Melbourne Fringe Award, these three veterans of the Melbourne Fringe, Cabaret and Comedy Festivals return to their ‘spiritual home’ for late-night R-rated antics throughout September.

'4 stars – Breathtaking, challenging, disturbing and excellent' - The Age

'They sing with the voices of choir boys, a hilarious contrast to their songs ... There's a little of the beautiful loser in all of us' - Inpress Magazine

'A glorious dissection of the dregs of life' - DB Magazine, Adelaide

'This is a show that would offend the vast majority of Australians' - Dr Brendan Nelson MP, then Leader of the Federal Opposition, speaking to the national press outside Parliament House in May 2008

Performed by Mark Jones, Adam Murphy and Karlis Zaid
