Robyn Archer - Que Reste-t'il?

Robyn Archer’s tribute to French cabaret was a well-judged blend of the obvious and the unexpected.

From her selection of early cabaret songs by Aristide Bruant in particular, the frankness and, at times, crudity of the lyrics reminded us that cabaret was no genteel, polite entertainment.
