Working within the confines of the intimate space that is La Boheme, the performers spin their story all over the room, weaving, running and dancing from stage to audience and back. Set amongst a backdrop of backstreets and boudoirs, Tom Greenfield plays The Great Thief with much character and energy, looking very much the part of the devil in suspenders. Jessica Stratton is The Handmaiden and really adds some sexiness to her part as she teeters about the stage. In all of this, it is The Countess, portrayed by the wonderful Rachel Mendham, that really makes you wonder whether the devil is in fact strutting about in high society and as amazing in thigh highs as she makes you think.
